Applied on the last week of June. Few days later took the assessment. About a week passed and I got an email to go take the TMTF assessment on the computer. 50 minutes, 50 questions (know the 25 wire pair code). It doesn't say how much you got wrong or right - just "qualified". The next couple of days I got invited to the RJP (Real Job Preview) and WTA (Wire Tech Assessment). This consisted of about 1.5 to 2 hours of a manager from the area telling us what to expect from the job. He was VERY honest and weeded out a few guys off bat. Next was the WTA which was held right after the RJP. This consisted of four generic questions about a struggle or incident in which you critically thought and overcame a situation. Be honest and don't lie. Before I could even make it home I got an email from the recruiter asking me to confirm my receipt of the conditional job offer and to call her conference line the following Monday. Called received a bunch of info about the job and training and began the FUN FUN part: Background Check. With the background check came the drug test and physical. Both are easy. Lift 80lbs to a table then put it back down. The BACKGROUND check however took 2 weeks in my case. I had to find old W2s from years ago and was honest about a speeding ticket so I had to wait extra for the courthouse to release the info to HireRight. Anyways, finally, my background check was complete finally August 14th. I called my recruiter to let her know that all processes were complete on my end. I was told that for the upcoming class that all positions for my area were filled. I am waiting still to receive a training date. My recruiter told me I am the top of his lists and he expects to receive my training date from AT&T by October or November. So far to date (September 2) the process has taken about 2.5 months. It is projected to take another 2 months before I start class unless something changes. Be prepared to wait, guys. It can be a super quick process for you or take a while usually because of the bottle neck with training classes. Also be advised that after 90 days your background check, drug screening and physical expire! I am just waiting on a start date. Hope this helps!
