It began with an online application and personality assessment. After passing those I was called in to the corp office to take the TMT-FII test. The test is basically an asvab with only questions about wiring and basic math/engineering. When we finished test we all were sent back to the lobby. Some peoples names were called and they were asked to step out of the lobby into a different area. A few minutes after some one came in and told the remainder of the people in the room we passed the test and would be contacted soon with the next steps. Shortly after that I was contacted to attend an RJP (Realistic Job Preview) and interview. During RJP we watched the same video that AT&T has posted where you apply for the premises technician position and then the garage managers gave us some more in depth information and good and bad things about the job. Afterwards we were taken back to lobby and called in one by one for individual interviews. The interview process was about twenty minutes long and I was asked a series of questions about my personality and abilities. Some questions were explain a time when you had an issue with a co-worker and how you went about solving the problem, explain a time when you dealt with an angry customer and how you solved the problem, what qualifies you for this position, what do you have to offer that others don't, tell about a time where you had difficulties explaining how to do something to a person and what you did to get the point across. Mostly customer service and problem solving. My interviewer didn't say much when the process was over. They just told me that I would be contacted the same way I was before with my results. About a week later i heard back from the same person I had been corresponding with presenting me a conditional offer based on the ability to pass a drug screen and background check. The process takes about two weeks before you get an answer. I was contacted recently notifying me I passed background and screening and was presented a firm offer which I accepted. My start date is with in the next week. The whole process took just over a month for me but I have seen others say it took much longer.
