I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Lubbock, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
Applied online and immediately asked to complete the logic tests online. I guess I passed those because the system automatically wanted me to setup an interview just a couple days later. Interview was local with the boss I'd have if hired and while it was clear he was very busy and distracted, it was a pretty informal interview with not a lot of questions. Was mostly interested with my past DTV install experience which was many years ago. He told me he was only hiring too now, but hey were expanding this area soon to if I didn't get this first round don't worry there is more to come.
After that, I heard nothing for nearly 2 months when one day out of the blue I got an email from recruiter confirming some education stuff. Immediately after that I got a call offering me the job, which set in motion some pre-hire online paperwork and of course the authorization for urine test and background check. That happened late on a Friday, so I while I did everything else I couldn't get the urine test and physical done until Monday. Been nearly a week now and nothing so far. Background check at the company doing that still says pending. Should be no issues. The recruiter did ask me to get a copy of the paperwork from the medial place just in case it doesn't get sent to them which she said has been a problem.
I guess it's not the worst but seems the process is dragged out way too long. I can imagine they have lost many a good candidate who found other jobs during a long wait or just lost interest.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AT&T (Austin, TX) in Jul 2023
Interview
The interview process for me was quite simple. We had a zoom meeting where everyone selected for the position from various States were in attendance. The hiring manager described the job description and other related details about the position. And later, job offer was sent, if you accepted, then training details like location of the training, hotel accommodation etc. was sent to inbox.
