      Abercrombie & Fitch MIT Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in Jan 2010

      Interview

I walked into an Abercrombie & Fitch store and was asked if I wanted to work there. I said yes and they asked me if I was in school. After informing them that I had a 4-year degree they got excited and gave me a card with a password on it and told me to apply online. They also scheduled an interview with the District Manager 3 days later. My interview was supposed to last 20-60 minutes, but I ended up being there for much longer. It was a fun, easy-going interview and I felt like I was talking to a friend. There seems to be a lot of room for advancement within the corporation and I hope I'm offered the position. After the interview I was told that they have to do a background check. Two days later I got a phone call from the DM stating they couldn't do the background check and to visit a store and call him back, or go online and apply again. I went online and got a message saying I could not apply for the same position for another 6 months. I also called the DM and left a message, as well as called the store I visited. I'm not sure if I just didn't get the job, or if I will be offered the job...I'll keep you posted.
