I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ace Hardware (Tucson, AZ) in Mar 2011
Interview
job was posted on craigslist, I went in to the location and asked for an application. the general manager happened to be present and asked me a few questions, then called me the next day to schedule the interview. the interview was the general manager and the cashier supervisor, they asked pretty general questions but also about my personal hobbies/background. lots of your basic interview questions, what my experience in customer service was and how I dealt with problems in the workplace.
after the interview I received a call within a week or so with a job offer and I accepted.
The process was super easy. It was only two steps with both being social meetings. The first was an over-the-phone interview that lasted around 10 minutes. Then a later in-person meeting that lasted about 15 minutes.
I researched the company, arrived early, answered technical and personal questions confidently, asked about daily work, thanked the interviewer, sent a follow-up email, and later received an offer for the position.
I applied online. I interviewed at Ace Hardware (Benbrook, TX)
Interview
Asked the normal questions, and I thought it went well until I asked about if hired, asking for a day off that I had already planned. and a man behind me on the comment had to make a snard comment about it.
