      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Active Network (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

After applying online an HR person contacted me informing me I could go to the next phase of process. We exchanged emails for the next week, or so. I was informed that I would need to take an online test within the next 5 days, so be prepared to keep up on emails if you are out of town. But, a polite and professional email. They inform you of things to expect: an assessment that will take about 1/2 hour, you will need to be able to concentrate, once you begin the test cannot be restarted or stopped, you must answer the current question before moving on to the next, and assessment results are not shared with you. There are really two tests in the assessment: a cognitive assessment and a personality assessment. You get 15 minutes for the cognitive portion to answer 50 questions. You are warned to not spend too much time on any one question (this is true!). You are not timed for the personality portion, but takes 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you read. After the assessment they will review your resume, application and present that to the hiring leader. A decision will be made to move forward, or not. In my case it was the latter. It is difficult to determine if this is a canned response, or tailored to me. To me it seemed a little of each, with encouragement to apply for qualified positions.
