I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Activision Blizzard in May 2023
Interview
Regular process but the interview was very weird. Few panel members were not technically competent like what you might expect from Microsoft (as it is getting acquired) and you can sense insecurity in them when they realize you are good and can replace them in the future. Some interviewers were really good but some of them were just too silent in the interview panel for anything you ask. Felt like they were working on something on their own and they didn't seem to care.
Had a screening with manager discussing my experience and fit, than I was sent a technical test on HackerRank, with tests written by Blizzard development. After than than technical interview with the whole dev team, plus interview with product manager and director
I applied online. I interviewed at Activision Blizzard
Interview
Began with a recruiter screening, followed by a technical coding interview. Final rounds consisted of several virtual interviews covering system design, debugging strategies, collaboration, and discussions surrounding previous engineering projects and technical experience.
I interviewed at Activision Blizzard (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
including an initial HR screening, a technical interview with coding challenges, and a system design discussion. The interviewers were professional and courteous but didn’t provide much feedback or guidance during the process, which left some ambiguity.
