The interview process started very smoothly, where the recruiter clearly explained each step in the interview process and what I could expect. Each team member I met with was engaged, asked intelligent questions, and was able to answer my questions. The hiring manager was eager to fill the role certainly seemed like a good person to work with, so I was encouraged with how things were progressing.
Things went south during the final step, which was a presentation where I presented to a panel, and they asked questions throughout. While I was able to handle most questions fine, one leader asked randomly about the pricing for the products and services at a company where I used to work (which is not a competitor to AcuityMD). I tried to deflect and re-center the convo but he kept pushing, asking "if the prices were some kind of secret". Not only is this extremely inappropriate in this or any setting, but there were 3 other interviewers in the presentation, who never spoke up, and might have been just as confused as I was. I didn't give up anything and shared my experience with HR after the presentation. I got a generic rejection email in the days following, but my email was never acknowledged.
This company might be a good place to work in general, and there might be some good people there (not the one guy), but this question and how it happened during an interview should be a red flag.
