After applying online, I was sent an email to then reupload my resume (I had already provided previously when applied) to another site (adcapnet.com). I questioned this, but.. Ok. A few days later I was asked to come in for an interview. The interviewer was 15 minutes late. We met in an unoccupied office where He proceeded to speak at lightning speed using phrases such as "We'd like to get a general overview of your experience..." and "This won't take long as we're quite busy here...". Right out of the gate, the room was filled with stress and tension. Not the normal interview jitters, but flat out 'feeling interrogated by police' kind of stress. I'm a software industry veteran with over 15 years experience... yet, I was asked the usual "Tell me about your career...", "Why did you leave this company?"... "What sort of work did you do here.." questions were asked.. again at lightning speed. I don't believe he had even read my resume. In short, I felt the interviewer had no intention of truly having a discussion about the role, working at Adcap and interest in my questions. In fact, as I asked 8+ follow up questions, his answers were incredibly brief, with little detail. Sometimes, just one word answers. It's always said first impressions are everything. I'm aware maybe I did not have give the best first impression, but neither did this gentleman, representing this company. I'm not disappointed I did not get a call back. This gentleman reflects their company as a whole when interviewing and all I felt during the interview was... "Stay away."
