I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aderant (Tallahassee, FL) in Dec 2011
Interview
Was taken to lunch and shown around the company. I met with a couple of employees and discussed their average day. I met other employees and was shown the snack area. Was shown the break rooms. I was introduced to the senior level managers and was able to ask a few questions regarding the company's profitability.
The recruiter reached out initially, and we had a good conversation. He asked me to complete an assessment that included both personality and cognitive portions. For the cognitive portion, he provided a sample assessment for the Wonderlic exam. There are several sites online that will help you prepare for this exam for anywhere from $50 to $90. I used one of these sites and was scoring in the low 30's consistently before I took the Aderant online assessment. The problem was that the actual exam administered was the CCAT, which was very different from the Wonderlic. This totally threw me for a loop, and I got frazzled and failed the exam. The fact that he sent me to the "Beat the Wonderlic" site to study for the CCAT seems a little shifty. There are several sites that offer CCAT preparation and practice exams, so when you are asked to take their assessment, study for the CCAT!
