      I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Advia Credit Union (Kalamazoo, MI) in Apr 2023

      Interview

      I applied via Advia's website on a Sunday. Advia sent me a HireVue linkthe following day. HireVue is a self-paced virtual interview. I did the interview the same day. The interview asked a series of 6 simple questions. Never in this entire process did I communicate with an actual human. One of Advia's core values is "keeping people at their core," which I actually translates to "we automated our entire process so badly we now look un-personable and leave potential candidates hanging." Overall I am unimpressed with the process. I am aware that Advia is a "quickly" growing credit union, but this type of growth suggests that Advia is biting off more than they can chew.

      1. In an effort to get this interview rocking and rolling, give us an introduction and tell us what we should know about you! 2. What has led you so seek this opportunity, and what sparked your interest in applying with Advia? 3. Tell us what sets you apart from other candidates, and why we should hire you. 4. Describe a situation in which you effectively used your reasoning skills to handle something new or unfamiliar. 5. Tell us about your comfort level with learning new technology, software, and programs, as this position will require the use of various programs. 6. Can you explain a time when you had to multitask and prioritize order of importance?

      Thank you for taking the time to submit an interview review, we are sorry that this is how the HireVue made you feel as that would never be our intention. We use this as just one step in our hiring process. It allows our candidates flexibility to complete it whenever it works best for them and not just during our working hours as a traditional phone screening would be. We do still accompany this with a face to face interview if that is the appropriate next step for the candidate.
