After I applied online, it was a month before I heard anything back. At this point, I got a phone call from a recruiter wanting to set up a phone screening, which we scheduled for the following week. The phone screening lasted 20 minutes, and covered basic questions as well as a few questions that came from our conversation. The majority of the conversation was going over my work history and getting more detailed information about my capabilities.
After the phone screening, they scheduled me for a two part in-person interview. Part one was a face to face with the recruiter from the phone and another HR professional. Part two (immediately following) was a panel interview with 3 members of the design team. Fairly standard questions/conversation both times.
After the in-person interviews, I was asked to write a letter which detailed 1) why I thought I'd be a good fit for Advisors Excel and 2) why I thought they'd be a good fit for me. If I made it past this point, I'd be meeting with one of the founders for a final sign off.
However, after the in-person interview and the submission of the letter, I didn't hear anything back. The last I've heard is a thank you for sending in the letter, one month ago.
It was a positive experience with the exception of zero follow-through after the interview process. All other communications with them were pleasant and professional, and not too difficult.
