I was then invited to participate in a panel interview over the phone. After that, I was invited to fly down for an on-site interview at MY expense! I declined and was offered a lengthy "motivational interview" on a conference line. If you happen to have a multi-lingual supervisor who has a thick accent, this can be considerably challenging. I was initially passed over for the position, however, the person they made the offer to backed out and I was then offered the position. They offered me a stingy relocation bonus which they promptly revoked after two months.
