Aerotek is a recruiting company, and like many others require an interview with them before the companies they're placing people with. While other recruiting agencies were helpful with their interviews, and mainly were information sessions for both parties, I felt the Aerotek interview was a waste of time. The interview lasted maybe 3 minutes, before turning it to me to ask questions. And, the interviewer admitted that it was mainly to check if I could commute reliably and arrive punctually. I drove 45 minutes for this and felt that it was a waste of time and unprofessional.
3 or 4 interviewers go in the room to interview you one-on-one. There is maybe a 5-minute break period between each interviewer. They all ask you varying questions, and you are free to ask them any questions about them or the company.
Because it was during covid, it was a video interview. Very standard interview questions. Multiple people were involved in the interview to ask questions. They asked questions about my lab experience in addition to questions about how I work with others in a collaborative setting.
