I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018
Interview
I had a phenomenal interview experience with Affirm. They are transparent and timely, which I believe are the two most desirable qualities that candidates look for when interviewing for new positions. I greatly appreciated Affirm's commitment to timing -- they move very fast and I heard within days between each stage, if not the same day.
1) Recruiter intro/phone call
2) Hiring manager screen
3) 24 hour analytics exercise (Python, SQL, or R)
4) Half-day onsite, 7 interviews
The interviews were fairly standard, and felt more like discussions than a traditional question and answer. There were at least two case study interviews, and one technical interview on SQL.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm in Mar 2025
Interview
1. Standard screening call with a recruiter
2. Hiring manager culture / behavioral fit
3. Take home assignment (data analysis + presentation)
4. Panel presentation.
Overall, pretty standard with other similar sized companies.

Tell me about a time you had to work cross functionally
Pretty straightforward. Had to complete 5 exercises, one focused on financials, other focus on emotional intelligence, and other typical GMAT exams. Would recommend anyone to prepare for this interview as they were not easy at all.
