I had a great experience during the interview process at Affirm. The team was welcoming, transparent, and genuinely interested in learning about my skills and career goals. The interviewers asked thoughtful questions that challenged me while also giving me a clear sense of the role and company culture. Overall, the process felt structured, supportive, and reflective of Affirm’s values, which made me even more excited about the opportunity. The process includes around 5-6 rounds, but all of them very well organized, explained and worth it.

Question 1
Tell me about you, background and similarities with the role.
The HR screen and scheduling was smooth and straight forward. I initially thought I had good communication and everything with the overall decision maker. Our interview went long, we had a lot of chat about non-work items and so on. I thought we had a good vibe. However, he lied straight to my face. He said, straight faced, how he was going to give me two thumbs up and continue me through the hiring process and that I would get along well with a certain teammate, etc. He was just lying straight to my face. A few days later I received a rejection from HR with no explanation. Asked for an explanation on the disparity, was given some corporate speak. Interview at your own risk. They may have just been telling you what you wanted to hear to shut you up.
