Applied on their website. Had 1 call with the recruiter. Webex meeting with the hiring manager. Called for onsite interviews with 3 different team members which was based around the role. After being successful with these interviews they asked me to have 2 final cross functional interviews with people from other teams.
The overall experience proved to be exactly what I thought about the company, very unprofessional, unorganised, with people all doing roughly the same thing in the team, with no real leadership or experience. Very little was shared about what and how exactly they do jobs. The interviews didn't have a clue how to interview and were not only asking questions which related to different roles, but asking me the same questions despite me telling them I had been asked it 3 or in some cases 4 times already. This reflected poorly on my impression of the company. To compound the above, my final interviewer had to phone in 20 mins late as he forgot to come to work and looked like he just woke up when he was " interviewing me." The first cross functional interview felt more like a court hearing to see if I had ever done something that Airbnb wouldn't approve of in my life. The interviewer asked a series of overly personal questions to which I felt were totally unrelated to the role and would not show whether there was a cultural fit or not.
After all the interviews were complete, I had to wait over 2 weeks for a reply. As for the offer, the health benefits are poor and the salary is pathetic. The biggest problem is for those who join the company and only see the free breakfast, lunch, filtered water and dogs walking around, and don't see the bigger picture a very beaurocratic culture and no clear career progression, which is clearly documented.
