I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airtable (London, England) in Aug 2022
Interview
The Airtable process was a genuine pleasure. The first stage was with an in-house recruiter, where I got a lot of great info ahead of meeting with the hiring manager. The benefit here was the info shared meant time could be better used on stage 2 rather than fact finding; you could also tell they had reviewed the CV thoroughly ahead of the call and weren't rocking up and reading it for the first time live on the interview.
Stage 2 was an hour with the hiring manager; my key takeaway was that the time was equally spent allowing qualification. I particularly enjoyed hearing how the hiring manager got into Sales - this instantly helped build a relationship.
Stage 3 was on-site. Getting the chance to meet with various business stakeholders across multiple functions. This, for me, was a validator they empower employees to have input. What really resonated was the value add component vs culture fit. During this on-site, there was a "Discovery" Roleplay, a cross-collaboration session and a final one with the hiring manager. Finally, the in-house recruiting team topped and bottomed the on-site with an office tour and ensured any questions were answered.
What also stood out about this process was the communication and genuine interest in ensuring candidates were able to validate additional questions. I was able to speak with a couple of other team members through request.

Question 1
Share a time and example where you have collaborated internally across different teams, and why was this important?
I applied online. I interviewed at Airtable (San Jose, CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
I initially spoke w/ the GTM Recruiter who was very pleasant. She then arranged my video interview with the Director of Sales. I immediately sensed she was uptight, and I was unable to make any connection. She asked for an example of a sales deal I ran previously and won, but she was less than impressed. She has some sales experience, but not close to the complexity of my big wins. A couple of days later I rec'd the standard rejection email: "we had a lot of interest in this role ... blah blah blah". In the end, I likely would have declined the job because life is too short to work for an edgy millennial.

Question 1
Give me an example of a sales deal, process, and outcome.
Chaothic interview process, inconsistent feedback.
Be really careful, the hiring manager will call your network and current company without your consent to check your references and background. Not ethical at all.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Airtable
Interview
One month
1. Outside recruiter screen
2. Inside recruiter screen
3. (2) 30 minute calls with the hiring manager
4. Presentation

The process wasn't difficult and I made it all the way to the end, but it was a long and pretty intensive. The people were all great and I felt very supported throughout. Communication was outstanding and they are on the right trajectory. If given an offer, I would have happily accepted.
