The interview process (US based role) moved very quickly. Recruiter call, hiring manager chat, and then interview with 2 leaders. I think the company is interesting, but I declined the role for 2 key reasons:
1. I was very transparent about my salary request from the very beginning, so when I received the offer letter it was nowhere near what was discussed. At no point was I made aware that they could not meet it. I was involved in several late stage interviews with base pays offering at least $10,000 to $30,000 more than what I asked for. It appears the CEO must approve all salary requests which is odd given the size of the organization. This leads me to the second reason.
2. The company is global, but from my interview process it appears all decisions and processes are completely intertwined with what China or Australia is doing. As a US compliance professional that is beholden to US based regulations, it seems unreasonable to have to potentially investigate items under regulations outside of the US as processes and standards vary from nation to nation.
