I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airwallex (Sydney) in Mar 2023
Interview
This will be my first time to rate an interview experience as I really need to shout out the recruiter is amazing, super supportive, responsive and reliable, you can strongly feel he want to help you to be success over the entire interview stages. I interviewed in Sydney, 1st - 30 mins recruiter phone screen 2nd - 1hr project/behaviour interview with one eng manager and one lead eng -> take-home coding exercise building a simple application 3rd - 1.5hrs panel interview with two senior members to work through the coding exercise and asked some questions about your approaches and tech stacks Final - 1 hr interview w/ Engineering Director and a senior engineer (mostly the director asked the questions), a bit of project deep dive, architecture questions and brain-teasing questions at the end. I truely enjoyed the entire interview process and people I met are all friendly in general to help you showcase yourself except the final stage with the director. He is good and smart I can tell and the questions he asked just kinda freeze you and you will get lost at some points because he will keep asking follow-up questions based on your answers, so if you aren't really know about the details of your answer then you will start feeling panic. Anyway, I didn't get the offer at the end coz I didn't please the eng director but all the feedbacks I got from the other stages are super positive, it's kinda suck they raised the bar at the final stage and you feel like all your hard works and preps just erased by one person.
