      SQA Automation Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AllClear ID (Austin, TX) in Jul 2016

      Interview

I was given a thirty minute introduction by the VP of Engineering who seemed competent and like she might take the company in a positive direction given enough time and the right people. For the next three hours, I was asked the same trivial personnel introduction questions by a series of middle managers. The answers to all of their questions were documented on the first page of my resume. I brought a few printed copies, which was good because one of the interviewers had forgotten to do the same and needed one of mine. Later, an engineer became frustrated waiting for me to whiteboard a recursive Fibonacci function, despite the fact that I've never once needed recursion to solve a problem in the domain of automated functional or performance testing.
