They told us to make a project based on certain requirements. They gave us approx. 2 weeks. On the interview day, we were supposed to demonstrate the project and answer few questions.

They asked some questions in C language. Some basic hardware related questions.
It was at an career fair and they asked straightforward questions about the classes I took and what technologies I could use. Once I showed that I know the basics of the important hardware skills they gave me an internship offer

What synthesis and design tools do you use. Have you designed test benches before. Are you open to learn more about the field standards?
Interview was great. I had an initial interview with the HR person, then was later asked to interview with the team. I was interviewed over the phone by two members of the team.Those interviewing me were very friendly and the process was smooth. I did end up getting hired and I found that the internship was valuable.

Very simple and friendly! It went super smoothly remotely and was basically seamless. We had our interview over Teams, and they were very accommodating to my time constraints and things I had to do.
