Went straight to an onsite after applying online, took a while to get scheduled then got flown out to Seattle since I was not local. Had 7 hour-long interviews with members of various teams, mostly research staff, and a slightly shorter interview with the CEO. The interview experience was great, and I enjoyed speaking to everyone I met. Unfortunately, my post interview experience was extremely negative. I had informed my recruiting coordinator that I had a competing deadline, and they said I would be informed of a decision by a certain date which was a few days before the deadline. After not hearing back by that date I reached out to the recruiter, who responded saying the team needed a few more days to make a decision, then came back a few hours later saying that they actually needed a few more weeks to interview other candidates. This was very confusing to me as I had told them about my timeline months in advance. After reaching out for more information/feedback I was sent a vague pseudo-rejection email saying that I had done well but they were considering many candidates. Bottom line: There is a good group of people here, but they really need to improve on communication with candidates. They do not accelerate the process to accommodate deadlines, and do not honor the dates by which they ensure they will give you a decision. I felt very unvalued as a candidate and am not sure I would recommend this process to others, which is a pity considering they are doing great work here.
