I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Allendale Association (Lake Villa, IL) in Jul 2018
Interview
I applied and heard back within a few days. I had a phone screening where they were very transparent about the position. I went in for an interview a few days later. The interview lasted about 2 hours, but was one of my favorite interviews I have had in my career. The interviewer was very thorough and seemed to not only care about me as an applicant, but as a person who had value and could impact the kiddos I would be working with.
I felt that they were very transparent about pay, hours, and the type of children and adolescents I would be working with. He answered all of my questions and took time to let me explain my passions instead of rushing from question to question.
From the interview, I can tell they care about their employees and it is somewhere I would suggest anyone who is looking to start out in the mental health field to look into!
I got offered the position and would've taken it, but an opportunity opened up part time at another agency that I accepted so I could pursue my MSW.

Interview
A week after applying online I got a phone call from the hiring manager. He invited me for an in person interview. It was very informal and it felt more like a sales pitch than anything.
