Interview
The interview process was very thorough; it felt very authentic and transparent. The person I interviewed with started out with a phone call to ask some basic questions, and then we scheduled a video call for a second interview. The second interview felt more like a conversation with a friend. The typical interview topics such as strengths and weakness were brought up, but they were presented in such a way that it was easy to talk about them and discuss how it could relate to the position and the organization’s overall mission. It was clear the interviewer was interested in getting to the heart of both the positive and negative aspects of the position; never did I feel like he was trying to hide something or paint something out to be something it was not. He also wanted to get to the heart of why I was applying and how I could see myself fitting into the Allendale culture. The organization has a clear cut purpose and it seems like they want people who will help further that purpose. Many organizations lack that kind of ground up mentality and I think it was what stuck out to me the most about this company.
