I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AllianceBernstein (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Initially met representatives for AllianceBernstein through on campus recruiting at a career fair. Attended their information session and ultimately applied. I was invited to a first round interview on campus. Typical behavioral interview. Lots of "Tell me a time when..." questions. "Tell me a time when you worked on a team? A time with a difficult team member and how you managed." "Tell me a time when you worked under someone. What would that boss say was a strength and a weakness?" Ended with a roll play of a phone call with an angry client who's online account was not accurately reflecting their total balance. The interviewer played the client and I pretended to pick up the phone at AllianceBernstein.

spoke with HR and it went smoothly then had to talk to two VPs who asked technical questions. Overall great interview, just make sure you research the company
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AllianceBernstein (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2017
Interview
Not too bad at all. Simply sat you down and asked you pretty basic questions. Nothing too crazy. Both the interviewers were extremely nice. Just go into it prepared with a solid understanding of the company and what they do and you will be more then fine.

Interview
30 minute on campus one on one interview for the first round. Followed by multiple rounds of phone interviews, some with multiple people. Should have been an in person interview but I was not able to fly out to the location.
