I work for the company that outsourced the Irving Texas deskside positions to them. In fact it is my position and they are replacing ALL desktop support for Texas multiple offices in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Plano, Two Irving locations, and others with less IT staff than Irving alone currently has (from my understanding they plan to have about 50% less desktop support than Irvings two offices currently have combined). As such this position will also require HEAVY travel (which they don't list in the posting) and they are wanting to pay significantly less than we had previously been getting, which is in the mid range or slightly above of the Irving markets average. Be warned, they want someone that will work cheap and I can pretty much guarantee you that travel with the setup they are creating will be 25%-50% if not more. Additionally at this point (3/20/19) at BEST you will get MAYBE 2 weeks to familiarize yourself with all the one off situations, and there are a lot of them, before current staff are gone so be prepared for headaches since they are unlikely to manage to retain anyone here.
