I applied to this position after attending the Girls Who Code Hiring Summit and Grace Hopper Conference. I believe because I spoke to recruiters at this event and my resume passed the initial screening, I was able to jump directly to a first-round interview with the hiring manager.
I was asked to schedule a 30-minute interview with one hiring manager. The interview was set two days after the initial scheduling email. The interview was very positive! It was an informative conversation about the role, the team, and year-long goals.
After the interview, I was asked to complete a two-hour writing assessment over the weekend. It was a combination of a writing assessment and a UX critique.
I submitted the assessment on Sunday and I was hired on Monday morning.
Overall, it was a quick process that was thorough, informative, and extremely positive.

Interview
The hiring and interview process were fairly normal. Mostly asked situational questions and about the experience that I'm looking to gain. It's best to come in prepared to talk about past experiences and what you're looking to gain and add to the program.
