I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Ally Financial
Interview
There were three rounds for the interview: first was a behavioral interview, second round was a case interview, and final round was a case interview. After the final round, then you either get an offer or not. My recruiter was very pushy about accepting the offer so that was a put off for the experience and for me didn't reflect well
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
-typical behavioral questions (tell me about yourself, tell me about a time...) -cases were focused on scenarios that the company has either gone through and/or is currently facing
After submitting your application, you're invited to do a "self-paced video interview" via HireVue, a platform which provides "AI-Scored Interviews" whose algorithm previously "[used] everything from word choice to facial movements to figure out an 'employability score' that is compared against that of other applicants." Now they apparently just score the transcript of your answers with an LLM.
It goes without saying that a "one-way interview" is impersonal and provides no insight into the team dynamics or day-to-day environment, while denying the candidate the opportunity to ask questions about the role and organization.
I would strongly encourage Ally to reconsider its use of black-box algorithmic screening for applicants, because it sends a bad message about the culture of the org.
There were 3 rounds of interviews. The first round consisted of 1 behavioral interview, the second round consisted of 2 case interviews, and the last round consisted of 2 more behavioral interviews. The whole process took about 3 weeks.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Why Ally? What is the most challenging part of your current job? Tell us about a recent accomplishment.
Talk with Hiring Manager in first round discussing past experience and case interview with Director in Second round. Third round is behavioral questions. Process is quite smooth but case is a bit difficult
