I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Altium Limited (Frisco, TX) in May 2025
Interview
Phone interview with a rude recruiter, which was followed by two separate video interviews with managers that oversee teams of phone reps. The recruiter was evasive and did not want to answer my questions around benefits. He also was adamant that they would NOT negotiate base salary. I was told that it was a requirement to work from the office, but then during my interview process, I discovered that certain sales reps are “grandfathered in“ to being able to work remotely on a regular basis. Overall, my impression was that the organization clearly has a culture that is not very fair regarding who is permitted to work where and is excessively controlling of the people that work there. The wages that they were offering were well below the current market when compared to similar roles at other tech companies that I am actively interviewing with in the DFW area.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here? Will you work in the office every single day?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Altium Limited (Frisco, TX) in Sep 2024
Interview
One of the most enjoyable interview processes I have ever experienced. The whole process was very transparent, and the team is very responsive to any questions throughout the process. The process took around 10 days from start to finish. First round is with an HR recruiter looking for culture fit. Second round was on-site with hiring manager. Third round was Zoom with Director of Sales. Final round was with HR Manager and VP of Sales. I genuinely enjoyed every interview. Each member of the staff was a joy to speak to and you could tell they enjoyed their job. I had a job offer from a competitor, but ultimately decided to sign with Altium because the Frisco team is so personable and it truly felt like they were a family.

A casual conversation with a seasoned recruiter who is NOT reading off a screen - what a breath of fresh air after going through many sterile and impersonal interviews. I get every company has a process but it's nice when you (the candidate) are in a reciprocal exchange of value.
