I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Chennai) in May 2020

Interview

There was a screening round. Post that there were 6 other rounds based on Amazon Leadership principles. Each interview round consists of 2 Amazon LPs along with 10 mins for any questions from my side. For each question there were more probing questions. Used the model - Situation - Task - Actions - Results model to answer the question. Post that the panelists have a debrief and if you meet the bar you get selected.
