I got a call from a recruiter from Amazon Alexa Team for Mobile Software Development Engineer role. I informed the recruiter that I am not interested in Mobile Software Development role as I dont want to constraint my domain and given that my current role is a Software Development Engineer role. The recruiter promised that there is a general Software Development Engineer role as well and then I moved forward to take the initial screening online assessment. Once that is cleared, I had an onsite interview that had rounds such as System Design,Coding/Problem-Solving,Data Structures and Algorithms,Logical&Maintainable Code with behavioral in each round.  My first round was System Design. I was asked to design a system that was  more mobile centric and I didn't have enough knowledge about the same. Only a person who is a mobile developer can crack that easily. I really felt bad  When the interviewer asked me if I am aware of what position I am interviewing for and thats a mobile developer role. I did convey that to the recruiting co-ordinator immediately after this round and she said that there was some miscommunication that happened. She had conveyed it to Recruiter.When I got a call to get the interview feedback from recruiter, he said that Amazon is not moving forward with me and I have to wait another 6 months to interview again. I did bring it up to his attention again on what happened on the interview day. He acknowledged that co-ordinator conveyed him and  apologized to me saying that, he can find out from manager of any other teams in Sunnyvale Office explaining the situation to conduct System Design round alone and may be then they can take it up forward to another onsite if required as this was a mistake done from Amazon side. But in couple of days I received email (Attached ) from recruiter that nothing else can be done and I have to wait for the time period to give next interview. 
There has been few other recruiters who contacted me over Linkedin for open positions, and when I convey my situation all they say is “I am not eligible as I interviewed in August 2018”. Other thing I could sense is that even though the mistake is on Amazon’s end, the notes that they have put up for candidate is as if the candidate didnt do well in the onsite round. I have prepared myself for what role I am interviewing and this had really made my state worse as I have to wait for mistake done by Amazon. I have also given in candidate interview feedback about this issue, but no one turned up to help me out so far.
