I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Buenos Aires) in Nov 2018
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The process took 1 month. I interviewed at a recruiting fair in South America for AWS at Dublin.
1) Codility test with 3 exercices and 2h40min to finish it. Passed.
2) 30min online interview with 2 software development engineer, mostly background and behavioral questions (nothing too much technical).
3) Onsite interview on a recruiting fair in Buenos Aires. 5 interviews 45 minutes each one with 5 minutes of rest between each interview. 50% technical and 50% behavioral. The technical was about design and to solve some algorithmics problems. The design was the most difficulty of all. I had to provide a solution to the problem. For my experience those problems will depend on the team your applying to, it's not a standard problem, they acctually faced it or are facing it now. So 2 interviews were only behavioral (leadership principles and background), 2 totally technical and 1 half technical and half behavioral.
They sent me an e-mail saying that they would send the next steps in 5 business day. I was pretty excited, but them I got an e-mail to arrange a call (for what I searched this is a bad sign).
They called me and said that I was not selected to receive an offer. I asked for specific feedback so that I could improve and they provide me those answers (which interview I've done better or I was weak).
* Must know - complexity of algorithms, some operations in data structures and how to calculate it.
* The solutions that you provide in the onsite interview are going to be on a flipchart (get used to program in a paper).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the solution that I provided they ask me the complexity of each line and if I could improve it.
It was a pleasant surprise when the first technical question about substring lengths came up — I recognized it from my prep sessions. Before the interview loop, I had spent hours going through the coding challenges on PracHub to sharpen my skills. After that, they asked about merging linked lists and then switched gears to a behavioral question on frugality. The whole process felt straightforward, and I appreciated the approachable atmosphere. Excited to receive the offer, I accepted the position right away.

It started with an OA, and then after a few weeks, I got invited to four rounds of interviews: technical and behavioral at 3 of the 4, and behavioral only at one.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Jun 2026
Interview
Empresa extremamente clara sobre o que é pedido na entrevista e isso me mostra a seriedade. Minha experiencia foi positiva e tente se atentar a resolver o problema e não somente decorar padrões do leetcode.
