I've been contacted via LinkedIn by a recruiter for Amazon Video London. The initial communication was pleasant enough, and I've been scheduled for an online coding task. The task itself went smoothly, and I received an email with an invitation to participate in the next round, but this is where the good part ended. I've been assigned to an internal recruitment coordinator, and communication with him took FOREVER! It took him several weeks to just review the schedule options I submitted and tell me that the London interviewers don't work in the time slots I chose (I wonder why the Amazon calendar had such slots in the first place), and each subsequent schedule correction took another two-three weeks to confirm. Finally, when the actual interview date and time had been agreed upon, the interviewer simply DID NOT APPEAR in time. Neither did he in next two hours during which I had agreed to wait because of the "train delays" that allegedly affected his schedule. And, when I agreed for a re-schedule, the next time the interviewer did not appear AGAIN - this time because of a "family emergency". The London interviewers only work during a standard 9AM-5PM Mon-Fri schedule, and, living in a GMT+3 timezone, I had to take both interview days off to make the suggested schedule. After having been left there hanging for two times in a row without any prior notification of any sort, I decided not to proceed with this disorganized mess of an interview process.
