Interview
A recruiter reached out to me and started the process. It took a few weeks to complete. Actual work time was maybe 8-16 hours.
The first phase was completing an online coding assessment. This was fairly easy and only involved two problems to do with arrays.
The next phase was confusing and consisted of a lot of time waiting for a response. They ended up setting up an interview for a different position than originally suggested to me.
The next part was a "4 hour" (maybe like 6-8 actual hours) virtual face to face interview where I was asked a lot of non technical (what they call leadership) questions. I wasn't told this was part of the process until the night before. I wasn't prepared for lengthy storied responses because I was busy preparing for the technical interview.
Overall I was passed on. I wouldn't recommend this process to people as it is likely it'll be a large waste of time. It felt more so like a waste of time given that I didn't apply on my own, but rather was reached out to by an Amazon recruiter.

Online assessment - 2 parts
1 coding question - 45 minutes
1 repository question where you have to fix a bug in the project - 1 hour.
The coding question was very long and tries to replicate a real life scenario that happens while working for amazon, the amount of details is kind of what makes it difficult.

Got reached out after 1 month after completing the OA for In person interview. The whole process was smooth and everyone I met was professional and friendly. 4 rounds of interviews with a lunch break in between. 1 round is purely behavioral, other 3 is part behavioral part technical.
