I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Irvine, CA) in May 2022
Interview
Interview process was AWS recruiter driven. Started with an automated online assessment, followed by a "loop interview" consisting of 4 hour-long remote back-to-back interviews. AWS offered a 1 hour prep-session that outlined the process and all of the requirements of the loop interview. With that, the entire process was pretty clear and there were no surprises.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Despite the uselessness of solving leetcode problems as it pertains to the actual job, this was a factor in EVERY step of the interview process. If you don't know how to manipulate binary trees off the top of your head, or don't know how to reduce time-space complexities, you will likely not get hired. Your actual job experience does not matter.

Interview
