I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublin, Dublin) in Aug 2015
Interview
A recruiter contacted me for the job and before long I had a phone call set up. There first round was a 30-40 min phone talk followed by a 90 coding exercise. The 30-40 min technical talk was no particularly difficult(I had been looking into the kind of questions they might ask): difference between array and linked list, difference between threads and processes, what is a interface and what is it used form, what is a static class, how would you find all occurrences of a web address in dozen files on your machine - with the followup: what if the files were somewhere in the cloud on thousands of machines.
One Ice breaker question: describe the project you are working on.
One behavioral question: can you describe a time where you had to solve a task given very little support.
For the second part I got a codility link with 2 exercises to solve in 90 min. I found it hard to solve both problems in 90 min so that's where it all came crumbling down.
