I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon Lab126
Interview
Couple phone interviews with "senior engineers" not even with the hiring manager. basically going through my resume. After a week invited to on site interview. A total of 10+ interviewers. most of these people haven't even been a year at their respective positions. most seem former apple people and the rest from various bay area tech companies.
The engineers looked overwhelmed, obviously haven't interviewed any one before. the technical questions they ask is pretty hilarious. I will give an example here. lets say you are hiring a truck driver who has been driving trucks for 10+ years, imagine asking him to show you where the engine of the truck and the tires are. It was that hilarious. My overall impression is the place is like a high school starting right from the front desk.

Question 1
No difficult question. Just hilarious ones. They pick a word from your resume and come prepared to do a 'gotch ya'. very amaterish.
