I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview process was very straight forward. They asked questions like "How do you handle an irate customer?" etc... Most importantly they want to know if you will be able to comply with their strict attendance policy during the 120 day probationary period.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at American Airlines (Euless, TX)
Interview
I found the group interviews to be fun. Personality profiles were discovered through computer-based assessments. Your sales technique was tested in a group mock sales setting. Then a one-on-one personal interview. I apparently aced it and was offered a position the same day.
There was process of 3 interviews during recruitment and I received my offer within 1 week. The interview process was somewhat simple and most questions were customer service based. The last interview was a one on one with the general manager.

I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines (Winston-Salem, NC)
Interview
multiple stage interview but pretty easy. airport codes test where a good number of applicants were vetted by failing. it seemed if you passed the codes test you moved on. During training there are a bunch of tests that you have to pass to move forward. lengthy but not a difficult process.
