I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2017
Interview
Fairly easy process, long but just be patient. Applied in June 2017, a couple months later I was in Dallas for a in-person interview. I will say that AA is the best as they don't waste candidates time making them get a hotel the day before and all that. You are normally flown in and out the same day.
The interview is fairly straight forward. You meet up in a room with other candidates (expect anywhere from 25-50 people) and you start off with a brief exercise to know who is who...after you are going into a group panel interview. Everyone will answer two of the same questions and the third are random pulled from a deck of cards. Following this, you are back in the room you started in for a powerpoint of the Flight Attendant role. You are able to ask questions during this time and after you are pulled out one by one for a "resume review".
From here you are walked either to the bus or to another review with a recruiter. I was chosen for another interview, a reach test, jumpseat test and a couple photos. Its really important that you know that this DOES NOT MEAN you have the job. I received a TBNT about 4 days later, which came as a shock. Regardless of what you read on here you will not know the same day, you will have to wait.
Thankfully I had already gotten another offer from a different airline so I wasn't as upset. This is my second time with AA and might be my last.
