The process took about 5 months.
I applied in May 2017. Got the invite for a video Interview in August. Got invited to a F2F in October and Finally received a generic "Thank you but not selected" Email 4 days later.
What was positive was the team environment and the energy of the other candidates. Important to Note they do not do 1 on 1 its ALL in a group setting so be prepared to speak in front of an audience(recruiters+other canditates). There will be a group ice breaker game, very classroom vibes with all the recruiters making you feel warm and welcomed with an open door policy of "you are interviewing us as much as we are interviewing you." Also very important to note which is something i was not aware of beforehand, due to the merger with US Airways there is a mix of what they call Legacy American or Legacy USair, which basically refers to the FA's Mother company. BUT now that the two have merged and this means that they are staffing for both Airline affiliations which TOTALLY threw us all of especially in regards to RESERVE! None of the recruiters seems to know anything about how that would work or how that will be determined sooooo i fund that a bit unattractive because at this point were all in the room for American and they really should know the answers to this questions by now.AKA get it together AA recruitment staff. Why you should care as a potential new hire on which legacy brach you will be shipped off to is because the reserve system is aggressively different for both. (if you don't know what reserve is please do your research.) for me this is a game changer!! Rumor has it all new hires not part of January 2017 Flight Academy will automatically will be STRAIGHT RESERVE, a new system for US airways legacy branch. so i say to that thank you but NO thank you.
I don't say this to scare anyone, or discourage your area of being an AA Flight Attendant, I simply want you to be informed. I was super excited and equally disappointed at my rejection but now see it was a blessing in disguise. The right Airline is out there for everyone so good luck and be yourself!
PS. Bring letters of reference with you. they ask for those even though nowhere in the emails does it say to .

In a very Miss Universe style, they had us pick a card and not turn it over till it was our turn. I flipped my card over and had to read the question out loud and had to answer immediately.
My question was, in my opinion, the hardest in the bunch.

Interview
Applied online took assessment test online one week later received email for a video interview. Taking my video interview today. Any advice from anyone who has gone through the process?!
Video group interview then in person with 40 other applicants. Asked behavioral questions and personality questions. The video interview lasted about 30-45 minutes. Then the in person was a whole day process.
