I applied for a general mechanic posting in Chicago that stated you could be employed at another bases depending on how the interview went at the hiring managers discretion. I received an email saying i was being considered for employment. A couple days later i was contacted by phone and told i had an in person interview the following week and had to choose between 3 days. I went did the interview they told me i got the job but the official offer letter would not be sent till about 3-4 weeks later.

The practical and interview are done together in person, the practical is simple things like safety wiring, measuring voltage and resistance, a cotter pin and finding things in a manual and the interview is with a panel of a couple people who ask about your resume and behavior questions

Very quick, interview event that involved a practical portion and questions with very little time to decide whether or not to accept the offer. It involved a rapid drug test on the spot and fingerprint checking

Two parts. First is a mechanical test then if you pass you get the behavior test. Which was basic Starr questions. Overall not bad, I just didn’t expect the mechanical test lol.
