I applied for the FA position back on February 10th and had my face to face interview at Dallas/Fort Worth on April 18th. Overall, I loved the whole application process for AA. If you pass the assessment with your initial application, they will invite you to the VI. During the VI, you will be asked two questions, one ice breaker and one situational based. For the VI, it's important to dress the part and smile the whole time. Make sure you are attentive when others are speaking, as the recruiters are watching everything you do. You also want your answers to stand out as well since there will be other people in the chat with you and you don't have that much time to make a strong impression. If you pass the VI, you will be invited to the face to face in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. When you check in, you'll be led to a conference room and this is the best time to start socializing with the other candidates. Not only does this make you appear very friendly, but it will help you relax and enjoy the experience. Eventually, you will be led to a room with roundtables and be assigned to one with other candidates. You will be given a fun group activity that serves as both an ice breaker and a way to show how well you work in a group. My advice is to contribute to your group, but make sure you're not talking over others. When the group activity is over, recruiters will come to your table and ask two situational based questions similar to the virtual interview. Answer in STAR format. After the interview questions, they will show you an informational presentation over the AA company and then the first part is done. Everyone is told they'll hear back in 5-7 business days and they start calling people in groups to be escorted back to the shuttle. When two to three groups have been called, everyone left will then be led to do the reach and jump seat test. If you pass those tests, you will be invited to a one on one interview with a recruiter to answer more questions. If everything goes well, they will give you the CJO on the spot. I made sure to ask a lot of questions. If you are given the CJO, you will do a finger print test and a drug test. I wasn't able to do the drug test, due to my flight leaving soon. Everyone who has been through this process say the same thing, just be yourself. The overly enthusiastic and more quiet candidates were let go. If you make it to the face to face, remember they invited you there because they see something about you that would make a great addition to the team. Good luck to future applicants, you go this!
