Four stage interview process that was lengthy and included an extensive skills test. The thing that bothered me the most is what I was asked to put in over eight hours of work for a skills assessment that was never mentioned in the following interview. Furthermore, the assessment was for upcoming work and therefore exploitative. This organization talks a big talk about equity, but doesn't demonstrate those values in the interview process.

My interview process spanned over 4 months, totaling 8 interviews. The process was incredibly slow and unorganized. I provided writing samples, assignments, and a strategy plan for the department, all which were positively received. All of my interviews went well, and I received good feedback. I had to follow up every time, and weeks would go by without any communications. Ultimately, my final interview with the executive director was so humiliating I withdrew my application. He dismissed me almost immediately (almost like I wasn't important enough to have his time), disrespected my work history and spoke disparagingly about the department I was joining. It was a terrible experience and has completely changed how I view the organization.
