      QA Engineer Interview

      Mar 4, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Sunrise, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Express (Sunrise, FL) in Jan 2019

      Interview

The process was extremely long. It's 110 days in total between submission of application and decision was received. American Express made the NO Offer decision 50 days after final onsite interview. Are you playing me? Candidates' time is valuable and they may not actively pursue other opportunities if they sense a chance to AXP. Whatever reason it is, it's simply not right to let candidates to blindly wait for 50 days after final onsite interview. You simply could make the No offer decision within 2 weeks after final onsite interview, not after 7 weeks, let alone the whole process took nearly 4 months.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Mar 2019

      Interview

I applied through employee referral, was selected for initial screening, I applied for QA ENGINEER position but the interviewer was unaware of the position that I am being interviewed for and was rejected because I only have 3 years of experience which is not sufficient to fulfill a SENIOR QA ENGINEER position that requires 5 years of experience(which I did not even apply for), also he asked me what is a test plan and I answered him explaining what a test plan document is, which made him think that all my experience is only working in waterfall methodology (I have worked in agile for 90% of my experience, and there was not even a single question asked about agile)
