I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at American Express in Jan 2022
Interview
2 separate 30 minute interviews via zoom were scheduled with me. The first interviewer was late by 15 minutes and then the second interviewer never joined the zoom call. I reached out to HR and they stated that the interview needed to be rescheduled after the interviewer never showed up to the zoom call after 30 minutes of waiting. After a week of waiting for HR to reschedule the interview, I reached out again twice to see if they had a new date. I never got a response back to my question. I was pretty shocked how unprofessional their HR team was after reading how great Amex was as an employer. I really wish someone from HR would read this and understand “ghosting” a candidate is pretty weird. After that experience I definitely wouldn’t work for Amex.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Went over statistics terminology and asked questions about regression and weighted variables to correct analysis methods if they were off.
Okay experience
The HR recruiter was amazing. However the interview felt like a police interrogation. I would encourage Amex to train more his interviewers. It should be an exchange not interrogation
