Applied in February 2022 and had the screening interview with HR. She indicated that she would put me through to the next round and then ghosted me. Seems like a recurring theme so I was not entirely surprised.

A customary HR screener happened a month after I submitted my application. What followed over the following 2 months was a series of 5 attorney interviews, a written assignment, and a follow-up interview about the assignment. All interviews were virtual, 30-minutes long, and fully behavioral. The interviewers were interested in my experience, skills, and motivations; they were personable though rather formal; they also offered helpful insight into the role and Amex generally. The written assignment was short and straight-forward, though easy to overthink; I was given a weekend and a day to submit it. Unfortunately, it took two follow-ups over the course of the month after my last interview to receive the final decision.
