I got a phone call from someone at Rhode Island Inc. which is the company's contracted HR office. I don't remember applying to the organization so I played it off and asked for the website. After scheduling my interview I reviewed the website and tried to get an idea about what the job was. There was no information on the website so I went in there blind. I found the suite which was then that I found the company name, American Income Life. As I was called into the interview I met with a manager for 5 minutes, you don't ask any questions because the process is so quick. If you make it past the first process you sit in a room with a group of people that made it past the first interview. You sit for over an hour as the branch or division manager tells you about the company and what it is you will be doing. It is not a cold calling organization, but I did not like how I felt like I was tricked into going into the office. They tell you to dress business professional, which in the end made me realize they were trying to make themselves seem official. I felt like the organization hid their company from me just to get me to go in. During the hour long presentation I felt like the manager downplayed the importance of getting a higher education and how people who did were just burying themselves into debt (almost true) and that it was a waste of money.
