One round of over-the-phone interviews conducted in early spring. Most of the questions asked were personal and felt like they were looking more for someone who would fit the organization best rather than perhaps the most talented or knowledgable. At one point, they asked me about another internship opening they were offering and what I thought of that department. Without having done any research, I was able to do a quick google search, answer some basic questions on why I cared about international humanitarian law, and found out a week later that I had been chosen for the internship I didn't prepare for. Like I said, more about fit then polish in the interview. Interview was conducted by the manager of the department and his chief volunteer.
