I did the phone screen interview. A few days later the recruiter reached out to schedule the interview with hiring manager. I did the interview and I never heard back. I looked at my candidate portal about a week and half after and saw that my application was no longer active, meaning they were no longer considering me as a candidate. Even if you decide to not move forward with a candidate, you should notify them with a courtesy email. If candidates put forward the energy and effort to prep for interviews, a company should have the courtesy to send them email to let that person know you’re not moving forward with their candidacy.
